AFAIK, that engine is pretty solid. Radiators are definitely problematic. But the “tune-up” might be simple things like a turn intake boot or DISA valve. Unless the radiator expelled all of its coolant and they just keep driving, then it might be facked.

It’s pretty common. There are dealers that don’t bother bringing trade-ins up to date and just pass it on to the buyer. People do the same thing. They just knock it off the price and keep the money in their pocket.
